Every choice you must make in blackjack has a mathematically right answer. Using these basic strategy blackjack charts at CasinoFavoriter.com, you can guarantee that you always make choices keeping the house advantage one of the lowest of any gambling game.
Blackjack Surrender Chart
Surrender isn't always an option, and if it is, it's usually what we refer to as Late Surrender. It's the option to forfeit your hand after the dealer has dealt the first two cards, and after the dealer has already checked for blackjack. If you choose to do so, you only lose half your bet.
In Early Surrender, you have the option to surrender your hand before the dealer checks if you have Blackjack. This may be an extremely powerful but seldom seen rule variation. In the above table, I am referring to Late Surrender.
- Basically, with 15 you surrender up to a 10, but not if it is the 8 and 7.
- You always surrender any 16, except a pair of 8s against a dealer upcard of 9, 10 or 11.
- With a pair of 8s, you surrender only against a dealer ace when the rule makes them hit soft 17.
- With a 17, you surrender only against an ace.
Blackjack Split Chart
When you split, you must be aware whether you can double later if you are given two cards that our chart tells you to double. This is simply known as Double After Split (DAS).
In the above chart, you only split the blue-highlighted hands if the game rules that you are playing do in fact allow you to double after the split; otherwise, go to the Hit/Stand tables.
- You always split 8s and aces.
- 9s you split against all but a 7, 10 or an ace.
- 7s you split against 2 through 7.
- 6s split against 2 through 6, but against a two up only split if you can Double After.
- Never split 5s.
- Split only 4s against a 5 or 6 if you can Double After Split.
- Against 2s or 3s, split only against 2 and 3 if you can DAS, and against 4 through 6 anyway.
Hit or Stand Chart – Soft Totals
Use this chart if one of your cards is an ace. But first, let us determine when to hit, stand or double with a soft hand. Mention that certain blackjack games will not permit doubling certain cards such as 10 or 11. My advice is to steer clear of such games. You will see that our blackjack hand chart reminds us to double if it is permitted.
- With A2 and A3, double in a 5 or 6, otherwise hit.
- With A4 and A5, double 4, 5 or 6, otherwise hit.
- With A6, double 3 to 6.
- With A7, double 2 to 6, stand on 7 or 8, hit on 9, 10, ace.
- With the A8, you double on a 6 and stand on all else.
- And you're against all things with A9.
